Cedarville, California

Heart of Surprise Valley

Cedarville (population 437) sits at the bottom of Surprise Valley with the Warner Mountains rising behind it and Nevada's high desert ahead. It's the only real town in the valley, and your destination if you came for the hot springs, the 1880s storefronts, or the view of the Warners that hasn't changed much since the 1860s.

(Sometimes misspelled "Cedar Valley" — the correct name is Cedarville.)
